Wild microscope tips for cinemicrography instructionTips for cinemicrographyTips for crnemrcrography Cinemicrography is useful for the following purposes: To establish and investigate changes of state and to demonstrate them to a large number of people To clarify by means of time-lapse or slow-motion photography certain processes which cannot be satisfactorily observed by normal techniques because they are too slow or too fast To interpret and carry out measurements on single frames in the cine film and hence to deduce information about changes A sound knowledge of photomicrography is necessary as a basis for cine- micrography. The following are the most important ways in which cinemicrography differs from photomicrography: Generally speaking. the object being photographed is constantly in motion. and therefore the sharpness and format limits of the image must be continually observed during photography Once the format limits have been set they cannot be changed. The camera must therefore be positioned very precisely relative to the microscope Except in time-lapse photomicrography. the exposure time is closely dependent on frame frequency (number of exposures in unit time) Cinemicrography records not only images but also the passage of time With the 16 mm format generally used the negative has the modest dimensions of only about 7.4!10 mm In order to stop vibrations being transferred from the camera to the microscope, these two components must be separated.
