This is a highly desirable Paillard Bolex H16 Reflex 16mm motion picture camera. The Reflex model features through the lens viewing which makes it particularly sought after by collectors and filmmakers compared to standard H16 models.

Fitted with a smooth triple C mount turret the camera comes with three quality Kern lenses: Switar 25mm f1.4 RX, Switar 75mm telephoto and a wide angle f=10mm f/1.6lens. These deliver excellent sharpness and classic Bolex rendering across a versatile focal range.

The camera retains its original spring wound motor with variable speeds single frame capability and full set of side controls. A leather carrying strap is included and the camera shows authentic Swiss precision engineering.

Condition Report

The camera is in very used overall cosmetic condition for a machine of this vintage. The chrome plating shows signs of age, and the leatherette body covering is clean and intact. The iconic spring-wound mechanism runs smoothly and reliably at all speeds. A service is always recommended prior to professional use as this has not been film tested. The lenses are clean and focus smoothly. The lens apertures also function as they should.
